Dr. Laura began practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor in 2007. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a four- year doctorate level medical school in Toronto, after completing her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at the University at Buffalo. She is currently a Connecticut State Licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Pittsford and Lakeville NY.
She was first introduced to alternative and complementary medicine when she was seeking care of her own health concerns. In high school she found herself ill and in bed for 2 weeks. She was given a myraid diagnoses and went through a battery of testing... all of which gave no answers or help. She turned to natural medicine and began her journey to better health.
With healthy nutrition and exercise as a foundation, she used supplements, herbal medicine, biotherapeutic drainage, homeopathy, acupuncture, manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and relaxation techniques recommended by various practitioners. Over time her body gained strength and she was able to gain her healthy and full life back.
She also had the priviledge of seeing both her brother and sister be successfully treated for autoimmune diseases (gamma-globulin deficiency and lupus) through the use of naturopathic modalities.
Because of these experiences decided to go to Naturopathic Medical School to deepen her knowledge of natural medicine and share healing with others.
She now enjoys a healthy life, and lives on a farm in the country with her husband, Howard, and two healthy children, Ayla and Ben.
